The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. It governs how organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activities. Cleva IT Solutions is committed to full compliance with PIPEDA and with provincial privacy legislation where applicable.
What Personal Information We Collect
We collect only the personal information necessary to provide our services and operate our business. This may include: your name and contact details (email, phone number, mailing address); business information such as company name and industry; payment information processed securely through Stripe; usage data collected through analytics cookies (only with your consent); and information you voluntarily provide through our contact, quote, or careers forms.
Why We Collect It
Personal information is collected for specific, legitimate business purposes: to provide IT services, technical support, and consulting; to process orders and payments; to respond to inquiries and support requests; to send service-related communications; to improve our website and offerings; and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

By submitting a contact form, creating a client portal account, or accepting analytics cookies, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described here. How We Protect Your Information
Cleva IT Solutions employs industry-standard safeguards to protect your personal information: all data transmissions are encrypted via TLS/HTTPS; payment data is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers; access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis; and we conduct regular security reviews of our systems and practices.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and analytics tools (currently Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our website. These cookies are only set after you explicitly consent via our cookie banner. You may decline analytics cookies at any time; essential site functionality will not be affected. Our cookie preferences can be reset by clearing your browser's local storage.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share personal information with trusted service providers only as necessary to operate our business: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), Supabase (database and authentication), and Vercel (website hosting). Each provider is contractually required to handle your information in accordance with applicable privacy law and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Client records are retained for a minimum of seven years to meet Canadian tax and business requirements. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in our Google Analytics account. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information; withdraw consent to the collection or use of your information; and file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.
